В Риге, в Парламенте (Сейме) Латвийской Республики состоялась встреча народного депутата, руководителя Группы Латвийского Парламента по сотрудничеству с Парламентом Ирана господина Мартинса Шитса и руководителя Латвийского общества Друзей Ирана “Барадаран-наме” Владимира Галочкина.
В.Галочкин рассказал о деятельности общества по развитию и укреплению дружбы и гуманитарных контактов между нашими странами и народами. Г-н М.Шицс отметил важность и актуальность народной дипломатии и рассказал о состоянии межгосударственных отношений между Латвийской Республикой и Исламской Республикой Иран.
Сейчас эти отношения успешно развиваются, но сделать предстоит ещё много.
В минувшем месяце господин М. Шицс посетил Исламскую Республику и представлял Латвию на инагурации Президента Хасана Рухани.
На встрече присутствовала помощник депутата госпожа Сигне Болболе.
Принято решение такие встречи сделать регулярными.

In the name of friendship
In Riga, in the building of the Saeima, the parliament of Latvia, a meeting was held between the People’s Deputy, the head of the Group of the Latvian Parliament for cooperation with the Parliament of Iran Mr Martins Shits and the head of the Latvian Society of Friends of Iran “Baradaran-name” Mr Vladimir Galochkin.
Mr V. Galochkin spoke about the activities of the society to develop and strengthen friendship and humanitarian contacts between our countries and peoples. Mr M. Shits noted the importance and relevance of the people’s diplomacy and spoke about the state of interstate relations between the Republic of Latvia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Now, these relations are successfully developing, but much remains to be done.
Last month, Mr M. Shits visited the Islamic Republic and represented Latvia at the inauguration of President Hassan Rоuhani.
Mrs Signe Bolbole, Assistant to the Deputy, was present at the meeting.
It was decided to make such meetings regularly.
