Интерес к Ирану растёт. Оно и понятно: успехи страны в науке, экономике и социальной сфере видны каждому не предвзятому наблюдателю. А миролюбивая внешняя политика Ирана приветствуется всеми людьми доброй воли.

Приносит добрые плоды и деятельность Латвийского общества Друзей Ирана “Барадаран-наме”. Нам пишут единомышленники из многих стран – от Таджикистана на юге и России на востоке до Британии на западе. Не проходит и недели, чтобы мы не получили просьбу о приёме в члены общества. Ныне среди наших товарищей есть преподаватели и студенты, военнослужащие и медики, рабочие и депутаты.
Недавно мы провели встречу с Мирославом Митрофановым – сопредседателем партии Русский Союз Латвии.
Этнические русские многие века живут на территории нынешней Латвийской Республики. Являются численно – самым крупным национальным меньшинством. Латвия, как молодая демократия Единой Европы, успешно строит общеевропейский дом. Но ошибки при этом, как в любом новом деле, неизбежны. Как по объективным, так и по субъективным причинам. Поэтому, Русский Союз Латвии внимательно следит за соблюдением прав человека государством, независимо от национальной принадлежности человека.
Состоявшаяся встреча двух руководителей – М.Митрофанова от Русского Союза Латвии и В.Галочкина от общества “Барадаран-наме” – будет способствовать большему взаимопониманию народов Латвии и Ирана, послужит делу мира и прогресса.

Peoples should be friends

Interest in Iran is growing. It is understandable: the country’s successes in science, economy and the social sphere are visible to every non-biased observer. And Iran’s peace-loving foreign policy is welcomed by all people of goodwill.
It brings good results and activity of the Latvian Society of Friends of Iran “Baradaran-name”. We are written by like-minded people from many countries – from Tajikistan in the south and Russia in the east to Britain in the west. It does not take a week for us not to receive a request for admission to the society. Now among our comrades, there are teachers and students, military men and doctors, workers and deputies.
Recently we had a meeting with Miroslav Mitrofanov, co-chairman of the Russian Union of Latvia party.
Ethnic Russians live in the territory of the present Republic of Latvia for many centuries. They are numerically the largest national minority. Latvia, like the young democracy of the United Europe, is successfully building a common European home. But mistakes in this, as in any new case, are inevitable. Both for objective and subjective reasons. Therefore, the Russian Union of Latvia closely follows the observance of human rights by the state, regardless of the nationality of the individual.
The meeting between the two leaders – M.Mitrofanov from the Russian Union of Latvia and V.Galochkin from the “Baradaran-name” society – will promote greater understanding between the peoples of Latvia and Iran and will serve the cause of peace and progress.
